Motorhead is streaming “The Manticore Tapes” to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the band.
The project features previously-unheard recordings from the classic ‘Three Amigos’ line-up.
In 1976, the ‘Three Amigos’ era of Motorhead was solidified with Lemmy, Fast Eddie Clarke, and Phil ‘Philthy Animal’ Taylor joining forces and recording together for the first time at Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s Manticore Studio.
The long-lost tapes from 1976 were restored to bring to light a vital part of Motorhead’s evolution and history.
The release of “The Manticore Tapes” marks a historical moment in the evolution of hard rock, showcasing the raw glory of the band’s early recordings.
The project aims to give fans a glimpse into Motorhead’s journey to the top of the hard rock elite and celebrate their enduring legacy.
