Kelly Hansen announced his retirement from touring with Foreigner, passing the mic to rhythm guitarist Luis Maldonado as the new lead vocalist.
In a recent radio interview, Hansen wondered if the emotion would be too much durig his final show: “any emotion you feel will be right on top, just bubbling right on the top. So hopefully I can hold it together and do it.”
Hansen discussed his decision to retire, citing the demanding catalog of songs and the need to perform at his best, leading to the transition to Maldonado.
Hansen mentioned the possibility of continuing philanthropic work post-retirement, particularly involving music programs for children.
