Guns N’ Roses played a show in Saudi Arabia that got so hot their guitars literally melted in the extreme heat.
Guitarist Richard Fortus shared photos of the aftermath on Facebook.
The high temperatures in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where the band performed, reached 109 degrees, causing the wax in Fortus’ guitar pickups to melt.
After the show in Riyadh, Guns N’ Roses traveled to Abu Dhabi, where temperatures soared to 106 degrees on show day.
The band’s setlists on their current tour have been unpredictable, with rare performances like a cover of the New York Dolls song “Human Being” and “Used to Love Her” from 1988’s G N’ R Lies making appearances.
Guns N’ Roses are now heading to Eastern Europe for a show in Georgia, where temperatures are expected to be cooler in the 60s.
