Pink Floyd has achieved their first U.K. No. 1 album in over a decade with ‘Live at Pompeii,’ their first chart-topper since 2014.
The album Live at Pompeii is a digital remastering of Pink Floyd’s 1972 concert film, capturing their iconic performance in the Roman amphitheatre at Pompeii, Italy.
Pink Floyd’s Live at Pompeii marks their seventh career No. 1 album in the U.K., putting them on par with other music legends like Barbara Streisand, George Michael, and Paul McCartney.
Despite its immense success, Pink Floyd’s legendary album ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ only reached No. 2 in the U.K., being edged out by a compilation album titled ’20 Flash Back Greats of the Sixties.’
