Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains collaborated with ‘Sinners’ composer Ludwig Göransson after a recommendation from Metallica’s Lars Ulrich.
Cantrell worked on the track “In Moonlight” for the Sinners soundtrack, inspired by a piece of the film’s score.
Sinners director Ryan Coogler cited grunge music, particularly Alice In Chains, as a significant influence on the film, highlighting the appropriation of Black music and culture.
Sinners has achieved commercial success, nearing a $300 million global box office take and receiving critical acclaim with a 97 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Jerry Cantrell released his solo album “I Want Blood” and will embark on a European solo tour starting on May 31, including performances at Download festival and a headlining show in London.
