Foreigner kicked off its spring 2025 Latin American tour on April 28 in Mexico City, with guitarist Luis Maldonado handling most lead vocals. Original frontman Lou Gramm joined the band for the final four songs, including classics like “Hot Blooded” and “I Want To Know What Love Is.” In a recent interview, Gramm said he plans to continue select performances into next year, including stops in Southeast Asia, Europe, and the U.S.
Gramm also commented on FOREIGNER’s long-awaited 2024 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. “It means a great deal,” he said, though he expressed sadness that founding guitarist Mick Jones, now battling Parkinson’s disease, couldn’t perform. Meanwhile, current singer Kelly Hansen is sitting out international dates due to residency issues. Maldonado has stepped up by performing some hits in Spanish—a move Gramm called “fabulous.”
