Billy Idol and Avril Lavigne performed their new collaborative single ’77’ on US TV on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The song ’77’ is featured on Idol’s first studio album in over a decade, ‘Dream Into It’, released on April 25.
Idol explained that the song draws parallels between England in 1977 and the US today, with Lavigne representing the voices of today on the track.
Lavigne expressed her appreciation for being part of the song, calling it “badass” and praising Idol as a legend.
Idol’s album ‘Dream Into It’ also features collaborations with Joan Jett and Alison Mosshart, and he will be playing a UK headline show at Wembley Arena in June.
