Dave Grohl Covers LCD Soundsystem

Dave Grohl performed at Oakwood Live, playing a five-song set that included a cover of LCD Soundsystem’s “Daft Punk Is Playing at My House.”

Grohl was joined by Rami Jaffee, John Lousteau, and Wiley Hodgden for the performance, with Grohl taking the lead vocal and playing auxiliary percussion for the LCD Soundsystem cover.

This was the first time Grohl covered an LCD Soundsystem song, despite expressing admiration for the band in the past.

The quartet also performed covers of The Knack’s “My Sharona,” Queen and David Bowie’s “Under Pressure” with The Struts frontman Luke Spiller, and Bowie’s “Moonage Daydream” with Lisa Loeb.

Grohl has been busy recently, reuniting Nirvana with Post Malone, drumming for a Jack Black x Minecraft Movie cut, and performing at Coachella with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
