Sammy Hagar is set to release a new song titled “Encore, Thank You, Goodnight” on April 25, featuring a guitar lick inspired by a dream with Eddie Van Halen.
Hagar, along with Joe Satriani, Michael Anthony, and Kenny Aronoff, collaborated on the song, with Hagar recalling, “I used the f’n lick that he showed me in the song.”

The song serves as a tribute to Hagar’s time with Van Halen, with Sammy explaining, “This song is my final bow to that part of my life.”
Hagar praised Satriani’s contribution to the track, noting that he brought in an emotional, guitar-driven energy reminiscent of Eddie’s spirit.
