Bruce Springsteen has shared the previously-unreleased song “Blind Spot”, which he calls the “thematic center” of his Streets of Philadelphia Sessions – one of the seven LPs unearthed for the upcoming box set Tracks II: The Lost Albums.
Streets of Philadelphia Sessions, informally known as the “Drum Loop” album, was recorded in the mid-Nineties at Springsteen’s Los Angeles home, mostly recorded on his own with a little help from this touring band.
“Blind Spot” focuses on doubt and betrayal in a relationship. Springsteen said, “That was just the theme that I locked in on at that moment.”
Tracks II, set for release on June 27, includes various albums like L.A. Garage Sessions ’83, Somewhere North of Nashville, Inyo, Perfect World, Faithless, and Twilight Hours, each showcasing different periods and collaborations in Springsteen’s career.
