Eddie Vedder, Fiona Apple, Brandi Carlile, and more are covering Neil Young classics for a new benefit album.
Heart Of Gold: The Songs of Neil Young Vol. I features 14 tracks, including “Heart of Gold” (Fiona Apple), “Harvest” (Mumford & Sons), “Old Man” (Stephen Marley) and more.
Two of the songs, Courtney Barnett’s cover of “Lotta Love” and Chris Pierce’s take on “Southern Man”, are out now.
Proceeds will benefit The Bridge School, co-founded by Young’s late ex-wife to help students with severe impairments.
Vol. I will be out April 25th, with a second volume to be announced soon.
