Jerry Cantrell was feeling sick and had a trash can at his feet during Alice in Chains’ 1996 MTV Unplugged performance.
Despite feeling unwell, Cantrell says his adrenaline rush during the performance made it one of the greatest shows the band ever played.
The set is considered to have matched or even surpassed Nirvana’s famous 1993 appearance on the show in terms of quality.
