James Hetfield has been staying pretty busy during his downtime.
In fact, the Metallica frontman has been writing music since the band’s most recent tour ended.
“[I’ve] been doing some skiing, getting up on the mountain – there’s been tons of snow in Colorado, where we’re at, so a good snow season – and writing loads of music,” Hetfield shared on The Metallica Report podcast. “[I’ve been] playing guitar pretty much every day. I have to. It’s like breathing.”
Luckily for Hetfield and Metallica fans, the band is back on the road, doing a couple of European dates this week and American-based shows in the fall.
