Five years after playing their final show, Slayer is reuniting for a pair of festival gigs later this year.

The metal legends will headline Riot Fest in Chicago and Louder Than Life in Kentucky this September.

It will be their first time on stage since November 2019, when the band wrapped up its (alleged) farewell tour.

The lineup will include singer/bassist Tom Araya, guitarists Kerry King and Gary Holt, and drummer Paul Bostaph.

Araya said “Nothing compares to the 90 minutes when we’re on stage playing live, sharing that intense energy with our fans… and to be honest, we have missed that.”
