Smokey Robinson Can’t Say Chanukah

By

/

A viral clip of 83-year-old music legend, Smokey Robinson wishing a “Happy Chanukah” has recently resurfaced and it’s pure gold. Plus, scientists have designed a silicone chip lined with vajayjay tissue from human donors that will help scientists test drug treatments for bacterial infections in the vageen. And the chip can actually communicate this information with computers. Researchers have found that the chip has successfully mimicked key features of the vaginal microbiome, the swarming communities of bacteria that play a crucial role in the organ’s health. And this “vagina on a chip” is apparently more realistic than other laboratory models of the organ. Scientists are optimistic that the tool will be a better way to treat bacterial vaginosis, an infection that affects an estimated 30 percent of women every year. The study of this “vagina on a chip” was funded by The Bill Gates Foundation.
