Geezer Butler is responding after Ozzy Osbourne called him a “f**king a**hole” for not reaching out following his struggles with Parkinson’s disease.

In an interview, Osbourne recalled how bandmate Tony Iommi supported him constantly throughout his health issues, but explained the same could not be said about fellow Black Sabbath member Geezer Butler.

In a social media post, Butler said, “Rumour has it; Ozzy is upset, saying he never received my get well messages. I made 2 different attempts at getting in touch during his illnesses. My first email (8 Feb, 2019) went through his office because I didn’t have Ozzy’s new number to text him. Sharon responded but I didn’t hear back from Ozzy.”

“11 months later (21 Jan, 2020), I emailed Sharon to check on Oz. That email went unanswered.” Butler’s post continued, “I don’t want to engage in a tit for tat. Having made 2 attempts to wish Ozzy well, without a reply, I figured it best to privately keep him in my thoughts.”

In Butler‘s book, “Into The Void: From Birth To Black Sabbath – And Beyond,” he addressed why he doesn’t speak to Ozzy anymore, claiming their waives had a falling out.

“Me and Ozzy are fine; it’s just that we’re both ruled by our wives. He’s got a big heart and was always there for me,” he said.

“Into The Void: From Birth To Black Sabbath – And Beyond” was released in June of 2023.
