A new Pink Floyd documentary titled “Eclipse” will be out later this week.

“Eclipse” isn’t about Pink Floyd the band, but about Pink Floyd *fans* – specifically, eight fans who traveled to Western Australia to listen to “The Dark Side Of The Moon” during an eclipse, in the shadow of a giant pyramid.

“Eight competition winning fans were invited to a special secluded beach location in the region to hear THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON in full – with the iconic closing lines “But the sun is eclipsed by the moon…” from the album’s final song ‘Eclipse’ timed to align with the extraordinary moment of total eclipse.” The video’s description reads, “This event and the impact of the eclipse on the community of Exmouth has been captured in a new documentary.”

As one of the most iconic and influential albums ever, Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side Of The Moon” continues to find new audiences globally. “The Dark Side Of The Moon” has sold over 50 million copies worldwide and the number is sure to increase following the documentary.

A short teaser trailer was released on Monday. Eclipse will premiere on Friday, October 13th, on Pink Floyd’s YouTube channel.
