Lamont & Tonelli interviewed San Francisco 49ers Long Snapper Taybor Pepper ahead of the 49ers home opener.

Pepper shares the pros and cons of night games, his experience with a “Walmart version of Jason Momoa”, making his own sushi, and more.

While discussing how to prepare for a Thursday game, Pepper said, “It’s much more a mental week. That’s the mindset kind of going into it. And you know, on the backside we get a three-day weekend. So it’s like strap in, get a ton of sleep, drink a ton of water, get rehydrated, and just mentally lock in.”

“You know, when you get to this level, we all know how to play football. It’s just about knowing your assignments at this point,” Pepper continued.

Leading into a three-day weekend, Pepper says he is looking forward to using a new cookbook, specifically diving into the art of sushi.

Tune in to hear Taybor Pepper’s weekly reports with Lamont & Tonelli every Thursday at 6:50 am during the 2023 regular season.
