Ghost played the Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA on September 11th and 12th and made headlines for not allowing any cell phones into the shows.

It’s now clear why – the band was filming a live album.

In a statement issued before Monday night’s show in Los Angeles, Ghost wrote, “This event will be a phone-free experience. Use of phones, smart watches, and accessories will not be permitted in the performance space. Upon the arrival at the venue, all phones, smart watches, and accessories will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Anyone seen using a device during the performance will be escorted out of the venue by security.”

No word on when it will come out, but Ghost posted a brief statement on their Instagram saying, “These past couple of days at the historical Inglewood Forum will not only live eternally in our minds, but also on film. That film roll is now in the can. Thank you all for coming out rockin’!”
