Details about the Disney+ premiere of “Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3” have been released.
The third installment in the Guardians trilogy will make its streaming debut on Disney+ on August 2nd. “Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 1” and “Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2” are already on Disney+.
Disney+ announced the streaming date on Twitter writing, “Crank up the volume, the Guardians are coming home.”
The movie will also be available for digital purchase on July 7th and is scheduled drop on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultron HD on August 1st.
“Fans have been awaiting the “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” streaming release following the film’s theatrical release on May 5, 2023. The almost 90-day gap between releases follows a more recent Disney+ trend of longer waiting periods for films to hit streaming,” according to Variety. “This includes “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania,” which took just under 90 days after its theatrical release to be available on Disney+ and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” which took about 80 days.”
