Mick Jagger was “always” Tina Turner’s crush.

The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll confessed her celebrity infatuation in an interview on April 8th, one month and a half before her passing. The legendary singer died at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home near Zurich, Switzerland.

“I always had a crush on Mick Jagger,” explained Turner. “I loved when we toured with the Rolling Stones.” Jagger and Turner performed together at Live Aid in 1985.

The rockstar ripped off Turner’s skirt at UK stadium while singing “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll.” The “One of the Living” singer recalled that night in her 2018 memoir, “Tina Turner: My Love Story,” writing, “Mick and I could never just stand there and sing—that wasn’t us. We had to do something. He looked me over. I was wearing a tight-fitting black leather top and skirt, and I could see a naughty idea forming.”

‘Does that skirt come off?’ he asked slyly. ‘What?’ Tina asked shockingly, it was then that Jagger said to Turner, “‘I’m going to take your skirt off.”

“I asked him why, but it was too late to talk it through, Mick had already made his mind up to do it,” she wrote. The “Steamy Windows” songstress retired from her decades-long career in 2009 after completing her 50th-anniversary tour.
