Personal items belonging to Queen singer Freddie Mercury will go up for auction this fall.

Over 1,500 items from the late singer’s home will be in a traveling exhibit before many heads to auction in September.

Mercury left the contents to one of his closest and most trusted friends, Mary Austin. She said: “For many years now, I have had the joy and privilege of living surrounded by all the wonderful things that Freddie sought out and so loved. But the years have passed, and the time has come for me to take the difficult decision to close this very special chapter in my life.”

The items will be sold over the course of six auctions and are expected to sell for a total of around $7.4 million.

Proceeds from the auctions will benefit Mercury Phoenix Trust and the Elton John Aids Foundation.
