Legendary rockers Journey have reportedly acquired a new manager, according to Billboard.

Mike Kobayashi, who also manages fellow legendary rockers Def Leppard, has been officially hired to manage Journey, formerly under guitarist Neal Schon and keyboardist Jonathan Cain.

Less than two months ago, Schon filed a complaint in state court in California against Cain, stating that Cain had opened an American Express card without notifying Schon and that “millions of Journey funds have flowed through it.”

In the lawsuit, Schon’s attorneys argue that Cain has not provided financial records that would have allowed Schon to determine how much the band owes him.

Cain fired back at Schon’s claims, stating, “Since Neal decided to publicize what is going on, I can tell you we will present the evidence to the court that shows that Neal has been under tremendous financial pressure as a result of his excessive spending and extravagant lifestyle, which led to him running up enormous personal charges on the band’s credit card account. When efforts were made to limit his use of the card to legitimate band expenses, Neal unfortunately decided to attack me rather than trying to get his reckless spending under control.”

But Schon says the dispute won’t break up the band. When followers speculated that this could be it for Journey, Schon tweeted “It’s not, I guarantee you” and that “Journey means forever changing”.
