Dolly Parton has big plans for her future rock album.

Those plans include possibly bringing together Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant and Jimmy Paige for a cover of “Stairway to Heaven.”

“I’m trying to see if Robert Plant might sing on it,” Parton said in an interview with Pollstar. “Maybe Jimmy Page might do the pick-up part on it.”

If anyone can come close to making this reunion happen, it’s Dolly Parton.

Expect Dolly’s album “Rock Star” out next fall. Discussing her album, Parton said, “I really think it’s some of the best work I’ve ever done. I think so. Only because it’s different for me. I wanted it to be good.”

The singer says she first got the idea when she was nominated to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year, and thought, “Well, if they wanna give it to me anyhow, I’m going to accept it gracefully. And then I’m gonna go ahead and do a rock album and just make the most of it.”

At the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, she shared that ex-Journey singer Steve Perry would be joining her for the album. Steve Perry shared the news on social media, writing, “If Dolly says it’s true, then it must be true. Her voice is amazing!”

The pair would be covering Journey’s 1982 song “Open Arms.”
