Steel Panther’s lengthy search to replace bassist Lexxi Foxx has come to an end.

Spyder, who’s performed with the band on several occasions since 2018, has been named as the band’s permanent bass player, the band revealed Tuesday. The announcement comes after Steel Panther received thousands of tapes from musicians who were vying for the role. “We wanted it to be you,” reads a post on Steel Panther’s website. “We wanted it to be you so badly. So, it’s not gonna be easy. It’s gonna be really hard. We’re gonna have to work at this every day, but we want to do that because we want you. We want all of you, forever, you and us, every day. To us, you are perfect. You had us at hello. You complete us. We’re gonna need a bigger boat.”

Spyder arrives just in time for Steel Panther’s “Claus and Paws Holiday Party” tour, which kicks off November 26th in Michigan.
