Third-year Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson isn’t very impressed with Trey Lance’s passing ability.

After Sunday’s rain-soaked 19-10 Bears win, Johnson said the Bears’ game plan was to make Lance beat Chicago with his arm, and that he was unable to do that.

“What you think he did? He ain’t do shit,” Johnson said of Lance, via NBCSportsChicago.com. “We made him play quarterback. We know he hurt us in the run game with his feet, and everybody knows at some point he’s going to run and make a play. But I feel like we had to really make him play quarterback. Like I said, he’s still a young guy and I think he’ll end up being a good player for them. But it’s early. He has to go through it. I feel like we did exactly what I said we would. Make him prove himself as a quarterback.”

It’s true Lance didn’t hurt the Bears through the air, but the rain certainly had an affect on the 49ers’ ability in the pass game. Lance’s biggest mistakes in the pass game were taking two sacks, and a costly interception in the fourth quarter.

Overall, Lance finished 13-of-28 for 164 yards and with a rating of 50.3. He gained 54 yards on 13 runs.
