Metallica are set to release their 30th-anniversary edition of their ‘Black Album’ this month, but it’s the ‘Metallica Blacklist’ covers album that has fans worried.

Metallica frontman James Hetfield recently spoke with ‘The Guardian’ to discuss those worries and to assure fans that everything is going to be ok.

“We cast the net as wide as possible: to rock, alternative, country, bluegrass, and rap,” said Hetfield. “I know there’s a lot of Metallica fans out there who are pretty concerned about that. Don’t worry; Metallica is Metallica. Somebody covering our song isn’t going to change us.”

‘The Metallica Blacklist’ features Corey Taylor, Weezer, and 50 more acts covering songs from ‘The Black Album.’

Do you have any worries about this covers album? Who would you like to hear cover a Metallica song?
