Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Rickey Medlocke is set to return to the stage this weekend following a successful fight against COVID-19. The Florida-based rocker says doctors have given him a green light to rejoin his bandmates onstage for Sunday’s show in Wildwood, New Jersey. “Here I am, rounded the corner,” Medlocke says on Instagram. “I’m back, feeling good. I’m going to kick out the footlights this weekend in New Jersey. And you know what? I feel very blessed and very fortunate to be sitting here today.”

Although he managed to beat the virus, Medlocke is urging fans to take safety precautions, saying suffering through an infection is “not fun.”

Would you feel comfortable being near a large crowd right after a bout with COVID-19? Would you feel comfortable at a concert right now?
