Tom Morello has recruited some very famous friends for a very famous cover song on his new solo album. On Wednesday, the Rage Against The Machine guitarist released a cover of AC/DC’s “Highway To Hell” – featuring Bruce Springsteen and Eddie Vedder. Morello summed it up nicely: “one of the greatest rock’n’roll songs of all time sung by two of the greatest rock’n’roll singers of all time.  And then I drop a shredding guitar solo.  Thank you and good night.

The track appears on Morello’s upcoming solo album The Atlas Underground Fire, due out October 15th.

What are some cover songs that surpass the original?
