Metallica Shares Three Versions Of ‘Wherever I May Roam’

Metallica continues to roll out material from the upcoming Black Album 30th anniversary release – sharing not one, but *three* versions of “Wherever I May Roam”. On Wednesday, the band shared a live version from a 1991 gig in Oakland – part of the massive 30th anniversary box set that includes 14 CDs and 6 DVDs worth of material.

They also released two covers from the upcoming tribute album The Blacklist – a country version by Jon Pardi and a reggaeton version from J Balvin.

Both the box set and The Blacklist tribute will be out Sept. 10th.

Do we really need three versions of the same Metallica song released in the same week?
