Sammy Hagar, who already rules the celebrity alcohol roost with his brands of tequila and rum, is branching out with a new division called Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Company.

The singer-guitarist-entrepreneur says the new booze label will offer four ready-to-drink canned cocktails: Tangerine Dream, Pineapple Splash, Island Pop and Cherry Kola Chill. They’re expected to debut in California, Nevada and Texas this fall, with a nationwide rollout to follow at a later time, he says.

It looks like Hagar’s boarding the premixed alcohol train at the right time — IWSR Drinks Market Analysis reports premixed alcoholic beverages brought in $30.5 million in 2020, making it the only type of booze that saw its profits grow that year.

Are you more likely to buy a product if it has a celebrity’s name on the label?
