Long lost Van Halen music video featuring dinosaurs in Italy unearthed for first time

Van Halen die-hards are going to love this one.

A music video that’s been in the can for more than 40 years was finally brought to light this weekend on YouTube thanks to user Kosmo VanHalenItalia.

The video for the 1981 single “So This Is Love?” off the Fair Warning album is a unique one, with the band playing primarily in front of a stone brontosaurus, one that lead singer David Lee Roth doesn’t mind getting frisky with on multiple occasions.

The video was filmed in Italy’s version of Jurassic Park, the ‘Prehistoric Park’ of Rivolta D’Adda (near Milan) and also features tyrannosaurus rex, triceratops, and wooly mammoth statues. It was last seen during it’s original run on Italy state television station, RAI 1, but was never released stateside.
