The Reelz network will premiere a new documentary called “Autopsy: The Last Hours of Scott Weiland” on May 9th. In it, the 2015 death of the Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland will be explored further. Ruled as an overdose, there were a number of different drugs found in his system. But the film aims to explore the other issues that also contributed to Scott’s death, like hepatitis C, self-medicating, depression, and other mental illnesses. “There was Scott the human being, and there was Scott the heroin addict’ says television doctor, Dr. Drew. “And as years went by, the addict kind of took over.” Tour Manager Aaron Mohler said about Scott, “If I had known he was going to die, I would have taken every bottle away from him and thrown it. Just broke it right there.” It’s a tragic story, but fans and the music industry continue to be curious about the details of Scott’s death.
