Celebrating The Life of Bay Area Rock Radio Personality Laurie Roberts

It’s with deep sympathy that we share that longtime Bay Area rock radio personality Laurie Roberts has passed. Roberts has spent more than thirty years working for stations like KOME, KSJO and KFO in San Jose.

The BONE’s afternoon drive host Zakk worked alongside Laurie while he was the former KSJO and Laurie was at KUFX. He adds, “our offices were adjacent to one another at the studios located at 1420 Koll Circle in San Jose. We never acted as professional competitors but always and only as personal friends. Her love for the bay area, rock music and the San Francisco Giants were so sincere. We will miss Laurie and we will never forget her or the impact she had on her fans”.

Lamont & Tonelli also shared the following on Facebook:

Laurie was inducted into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame in 2011, and would always end each show by saying “putting another one on the shelf for Lefty.”
