No Slowin’ Down For Billy Gibbons

Youtube, @BillyFGibbons.

ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons has released a video for “Rollin’ and Tumblin'” from his The Big Bad Blues album. The song, originally recorded by Hambone Willie Newbern in 1929, has been covered by a long list of musicians over the years including Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan, Jeff Beck… even Cyndi Lauper.

Gibbons said, “Rollin’ and Tumblin’ is the musical embodiment of our favored slogan blues you can use.” The recording features former Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum. Below is the tracklisting for The Big Bad Blues album:

“Missin’ Yo’ Kissin’” (Gilly Stillwater)
“My Baby She Rocks”
“Second Line”
“Standing Around Crying” (Muddy Waters)
“Let The Left Hand Know…”
“Bring It To Jerome” (Jerome Green)
“That’s What She Said”
“Mo’ Slower Blues”
“Hollywood 151”
“Rollin’ And Tumblin’” (Muddy Waters)
“Crackin’ Up” (Bo Diddley)
