Too Weird Not To Share: King Crimson Guitarist Shares “Enter Sandman” Cover From Quarantine

If you haven’t caught a glimpse of this odd Metallica cover, take a look below. It’s, interesting. A bit curious. To say the least. But it’s like a car crash, tough to look away. It’s Robert Fripp, guitarist from King Crimson, and his wife, Toyah Wilcox, covering Metallica’s “Enter Sandman.” If you aren’t familiar with King Crimson, they were a prog rock band from England in the 60’s and 70’s with a unique sound and cult-like following. Words/genres used to describe their sound are experimental, hardcore, noise, psychedelic, to name a few. Anyway, Fripp and his wife decided to cover Metallica as part of their Sunday Lunch video series on YouTube. Throughout the series, which takes place during lockdown inside their home, they’ve also covered Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Sex Pistols, David Bowie, and more.

We love how Robert is staring into Toyah’s eyes during the whole rendition. And we love how Toyah is riding on an exercise bike. And we love…the randomness of this video. Enjoy.
