Listen: Bowie’s Birthday Covers Bound to Have You Bouncing

On what would have been the legendary musician’s 74th birthday, David Bowie‘s publishers have release a pair of unreleased covers in honor of the occasion.

Bowie puts his spin on John Lennon’s Mother and Bob Dylan’s Tryin’ To Get To Heaven in this posthumous release.

This is not the first time that Mr Stardust would honor his birthday with a musical drop. His final album, Blackstar, was released on his birthday in 2016, just two days before loosing his battle to cancer.

In a poignant, yet fitting way, Bowie’s cover of Tryin’ To Get To Heaven reminds us all that our time is short.
