A Sneak Preview Of Beatles Doc ‘Get Back’ Released

Want some good news? The great Peter Jackson, film director/producer/screenwriter most widely known for the Lord of the Rings trilogy, is working on a new Beatles documentary! It’s called The Beatles: Get Back, and is due for release on August 27th, 2021. Jackson is pulling from over 56 hours of never-before-seen footage of the famous 4-some, including clips from the 1969 concert on a London rooftop, as well as sequences during the band’s breakup, to name a few. Peter Jackson and his team were working on the project in New Zealand but were then delayed due to the pandemic. However, since New Zealand has reported zero cases of COVID-19 and has handled the deadly virus better than most countries, Peter and his team are back in the editing room, safely working on the film.

s there really a need for yet another Beatles doc, or has their story been told? What’s your favorite ‘rock doc’?
