Van Halen Family Will Search Eddie’s 5150 Vaults For Unreleased Music

Van Halen‘s family will be sifting through the late guitarist’s trove of unheard music. Van Halen’s longtime manager Irving Azoff says Eddie’s brother Alex and son Wolfgang will go through the vaults at his 5150 home studio, where Eddie did a “lot of recording” in recent years. Azoff didn’t want to guess how much material would be found, but it could turn up in a future release.

Want to tour his Studio City home studio (which he told inspectors was a racquetball court due to zoning laws back in 1983)? Check out the video from MTV classic where Chris Connelly visited Eddie Van Halen‘s home studio in 1998 to discuss building the space, breaking down guitars, and being a dad.
