Metal Documentary ‘Bay Area Godfathers’ to Feature Metallica, Megadeth, Exodus and More

Early October will see the release of a new documentary called Bay Area Godfathers which will feature local legends Metallica, Megadeth, Exodus, Y&T, Testament, and many more.

Directed by Bob Nalbandian, the two-part film is a continuation of the Inside Metal documentary series. The film will feature interviews from Lars Ulrich of Metallica, Dave Meniketti of Y&T, Steve “Zetro” Souza and Tom Hunting of Exodus, David Ellefson of Megadeth, Dave Lombardo of Slayer and Suicidal Tendencies, and Eric Peterson of Testament just to name a few. The film will focus on metal legends and local heroes and will feature rare archival footage and photos.

Early reviews of the film say is not only a comprehensive history lesson on the Bay Area metal scene but also a potent shot of nostalgia for those who lived through it. The first part of the documentary is set to be released on October 6th.
