Relive The Muppets Covering “Bohemian Rhapsody”

Attention Muppet fans – your day is about to get exponentially better. You may have seen this back in November 2009, when it was released, but if you’re a fan of either The Muppets or Queen, it’s worth reliving again! The Muppets got together a few years back and decided to cover Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and it’s awesome.

The video, produced very similarly to the classic Queen video, starts off with shadow figures singing, and the camera pulls back to reveal Gonzo & Camilla the Chicken (and her Chicken backup singers). Rowlf is playing the piano, of course. Followed by Animal behind the drums, experiencing some emotional moments and memories while he thinks about Mama (and Dada). Next we see more Rowlf, Pepe the King Prawn, some various Muppets singing backup, Beaker, the “other” Muppet bear, the Penguins, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Rizzo the Rat and friends, and more Dr. Bunsen. Then comes Floyd Pepper (from Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem), Lew Zealand (who throws the boomerang fish), Beauregard (the classic Muppet taxi driver), Fozzie Bear, Statler and Waldorf (the two old men insulting Fozzie’s jokes), Sam the Eagle, The Swedish Chef, Muppet vegetables, more Beaker, then Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem ROCKING OUT (with Floyd Pepper on bass, Dr. Teeth on vocals and keyboards, Animal on drums, Janice on guitar, and Zoot on saxophone)!

“ALL I KNOW IS WE’RE NOT GETTING PAID TONIGHT” says Dr. Teeth. Miss Piggy makes a brief cameo, but who is missing? Oh right – Kermit and Scooter, who are not in the music portion of the video, but are shown viewing it on their computer at the end.
