Lily Cornell Silver, the daughter of Soundgarden‘s Chris Cornell, hosts a series on Instagram called “Mind Wide Open,” and her most recent guest was Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam. The show discusses the importance of mental health – especially during a pandemic – among other topics. The conversation about mental health can be a difficult one, but it really doesn’t have to be. Lily hopes to normalize talking about mental health, positive and negative. Eddie mentions Michelle Obama‘s comments during her DNC speech about experiencing a low level depression, and he says it’s “…probably gonna get harder with the election before it gets better…”  Eddie also shares memories about the road, the story of when Lily was born, the dangers of isolation, and saving the environment.
