MIAMI — George Kittle is not one to often criticize Jimmy Garoppolo. But he was asked on Super Bowl Opening Night what a “not-so-perfect” side of Garoppolo is, and obliged without much hesitation.

“He is the worst texter of all time. I’m telling you, he leaves me on read all the time. I’ll be like, ‘Hey Jimmy, I got a question. Maybe on this play, should I run my route like this?’ No response. ‘Jimmy, you want to go to a movie?’ No response. And then the next day, he’s like, ‘Yeah, I got your text, I just didn’t respond.’ Thanks Jim, that’s awesome. So yeah, he’s a bad texter. Bad communication.”

Earlier this year, Kittle (a wrestling fanatic) and Garoppolo went to a WWE Smackdown match along with Trent Taylor, Dante Pettis and Garret Celek. He and Garoppolo were captured downing beers in the background of a shot.
