Ride Motorcycles for Better Health?

Riding a motorcycle is more than my hobby. Its also my primary means of transportation. There are so many benefits to being a rider and especially for us who live in the bay area. Motorcycle riders save time, toll fees and gas money as well as getting to experience the open road as opposed to a closed vehicle. So many advantages that I’ve often wondered why there are not more motorcycles on the streets and highways that I ride every day.

Now, thanks to researchers at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, there may be health benefits to riding too!

In a study funded by Harley-Davidson with results that were released earlier this year, the researches discovered that motorcycle riders when compared to car drivers have decreased stress with increased adrenaline levels and enhanced sensory focus.

Sounds to me another reason to take the bike instead of the car this week. And next week too!
