Journey’s Neal Schon Is Recovering From Emergency Gallbladder Surgery

Last Friday night Journey’s Neal Schon had an inflamed and infected gallbladder removed after an emergency room visit. Neal Schon posted an update on Twitter to say he’s recovering well.

In a follow up Tweet, Neal said thank you to the doctors, staff and his family who helped him.

Also, Neal Schon posted an update to let everyone know that his Journey Through Time concerts will still happen. The band’s first show of 2019 will be on February 22nd at the Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort in Jackson, California.

Neal Schon’s Journey Through Time will also be at The Fox Theater in Oakland on Saturday, February 23rd.

The group features Journey veterans Gregg Rolie (keyboards and vocals) and Deen Castronovo (drums) alongside Neal Schon and bassist Marco Mendoza.

Neal Schon’s Journey Through Time played their first concert last February 2018, at a benefit show for the victims of the North Bay fires in October 2017. The show featured Schon, Castronovo, Rolie and Mendoza playing deep tracks from Journey’s catalog, featuring many songs coming from Rolie’s tenure as their lead singer.
