GUEST BLOG: Shawn Will Make Sturgis Dream Come True

I will be heading out July 30th to the 2018 Sturgis Rally. My dream was to do it with my two sons for my 50th birthday in 2015. But starting August 13th 2013 tragedy hit my family pretty hard and kicked our ass. Our 16 year old son was in a car accident on his way to school and is now paralyzed from the chest down that was just the start of a very bad 2013. On November 4th 2013 our oldest daughter passed away giving birth to our first grandchild the day before her 21st Birthday. At this point I was about done with life what else could happen. Well Low in Behold 26 days after my daughter passed on the 30th of November 2013 my 67 year old mom was sitting on the couch and had a massive heart attack and died. Now I was really lost in life but with the love and support of good family and friends I am still here.

In August of 2017 I did a 3000 mile road trip with my dad just talking about life and he said son I know you didn’t ever make it to Sturgis for your 50th you need to do that so I told him I plan to do it for my 55th in 2020 and he said why wait so when we got home I talked to my wife about it and have been planning ever since. Of course when you talk to buddy’s everyone is going but now that its time it’s just me and my nephew. We will be flying by the seats of out pants took 15 days off work and rolling.
