Cheers to 50 Years for K-S-A-N

Cheers to 50 Years for KSAN!

But, wait, The Bone was launched on March 13, 2000, at 3 p.m. when after following the Elton John song “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” the FM frequency 107.7 launched into non-stop AC/DC from “A to Z”.

So, why the “Cheers to 50 Years”?

It was 50 years ago on this date (May 21, 1968) that the K-S-A-N call letters were first used on the FM.

Check out the video below about the history of KSAN/Jive 95 and for a nostalgic looks at San Francisco’s radio history. And let’s make the next chapter when – at Bone Bash XVIII – we’ll celebrate 50 Years of Ozzy Osbourne from Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View.

Cheers to 50 Years!
