Watch Guns N’ Roses perform at the Apollo Theater

On the eve of the 30th Anniversary of their album Appetite for Destruction Thursday, Guns N’ Roses played an intimate invite-only show at the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem.

The special show came as the band prepares for the second leg of their current Not In This Lifetime tour. This also happened to be the first time Guns N’ Roses performed at the Apollo Theater. The Not In This Lifetime tour features singer Axl Rose, guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan with drummer Frank Ferrer, guitarist Richard Fortus, and keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Melissa Reese.

In a recent interview with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Fortus also said Guns N’ Roses would be back in the studio making new music at the end of the current tour.

Everyone is excited about it. There’s a really magical thing now with the band. It feels like a new band. It feels like the best version since I joined, and it’s the most fun for me. There’s so much excitement around it.

The new album would be the first since their 2008 album, Chinese Democracy. Guns N’ Roses will embark on the second leg of their “Not In This Lifetime” tour with their next show on July 27 at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
