Rolling Stone names Black Sabbath record best heavy metal album of all-time

Baby Huey and Chasta are back with the latest installment of Yesterday’s News Today.

King of the cursing

In recent news Dave Grohl just beat out Adele of all people for most curse words used during a live performance, The Independent had more:

“Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl has beaten Adele at her own game, as he led the entire crowd in a chant of “f*ck, f*ck, f*ck” during the band’s headline set on Saturday night, all sung to the guitar line of ‘Skin and Bones’.”

Black Sabbath reigns

Rolling Stone Magazine also came out with it’s list of the top 100 heavy metal albums of all time. Black Sabbath took the number one spot with their self titled album, Rolling Stone had this to say:

“Black Sabbath issued the first, front-to-back, wholly heavy-metal album – their gloomy self-titled debut – that a band had mastered the sound of the genre, one that still resonates nearly 50 years later: heavy metal.”

Simmons in the spotlight

Gene Simmons is also back in the spotlight as he has announced a new solo tour. This is new territory for the legendary rocker who spoke about his upcoming tour with cantonrep.com:

““This is gonna be a first for me,” Simmons said. “Outside of Kiss, I’ve never done a solo tour. I never did anything like that. Every once in a while I’ll jump up on stage and do a song with somebody.”
