Deftones Frontman Chino Moreno Breaks Foot On Stage

Deftones singer Chino Moreno was rocking out to “Elite” off their third album White Pony until he fell off the stage in mid-performance. The fan footage (taken from Groezrock Festival in Belgium) shows Moreno stepping on a speaker to elevate himself, losing his balance and falling into the crowd. Amazingly, Moreno doesn’t stop singing. He instead gets back on stage and falls again. If not on the first fall then by the second fall, Moreno broke his foot. As a result, Deftones canceled their Cologne, Germany concert.

According to Loudwire, Moreno needs to stay off his feet for a couple of days to heal, but no other future shows are in jeopardy of cancellation. Deftones plan to finish their European tour and head to North America in the summer. Catch Deftones in the Concord Pavilion on July 6th with Rise Against. We’re guessing Moreno will be staying off the speakers.
